A Bag For A Friend
I have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Between work, sewing, life, puppy and visitors it has been pretty hectic! I was lucky to see one of my good friends this weekend who is from out of town and she wanted a custom bag. I think it is a beautiful colour combination. It is also the first bag I made with a handle (which I have been meaning to do). The bag is made of a cream and navy lambskin with a vibrant orange silk dupioni lining. If you are interested in a custom bag let me know! Otherwise check out what is already available at
www.satchelbag.etsy.com. More to come!

Promo Time!
Back to school time. I have decided to do a back to school promotion. Starting today Tuesday September 8th until Tuesday September 15th I will be offering a 20% discount on ALL ITEMS in my Etsy shop if you mention this post. If you are looking for a particular bag with certain colours let me know! If it is not in the shop right now I can make it for you! The discount will still carry over as long as you pay before the 15th. www.satchelbag.etsy.com. The rectangle bag makes a wonderful pencil case and can be ordered with a wrist strap for an extra $5.00.
Ps. Here is a new rectangle bag I just finished. It is lined with the most beautiful raspberry pink. This is the last bit of lining I have so this will be the last bag with this colour.

Hello all,
I am going to be starting up a little newsletter. It will be sent out every couple of months and will be used to communicate info about sales, promotions and any little Satchel news that I think is exciting. I am thinking of doing two promotions before Christmas so if you are interested you should sign up! Please send your email address to bagbysatchel@gmail.com
Another little thing to share...If you are looking for a unique bridal gown or just a really beautiful party dress here is a great Portland designer that I love. Check out her Etsy shop at www.sarahseven.etsy.com.

Light Colours Today
I decided to try something new with lining. For this bag I used a soft flannel on the inside. It is the rectangle bag so it is quite big. I figured that it would be used for delicate things instead of makeup. I would put my cell phone, ipod, camera..those type of things. It would also be nice to keep jewelry in for traveling.

Here are a couple new bridal bags that I did. One is a small little rectangle bag (already spoken for) and the other is a triangle bag that is on Etsy still up for grabs (www.satchelbag.etsy.com).

New Bags!
Well, here are some of the new bags I have been working on. I have been inspired by the nightly chill in the Vancouver air and have been doing more fall colours. There are more to come soon but I have just not had time to photoshop everything!

This Triangle bag is made of a grey and black lambskin with a deep red silk shantung. I just feel that this bag is very sharp.

This Rectangle Bag is made of a cream and dark chocolate lambskin. It is lined with a beautiful floral cotton print. I love this bag because it is super feminine and has so many great fall colours in the lining. Speaking of fall..I have been waiting for the weather to get cooler so that I can justify buying a gorgeous piece from my all time favorite Etsy seller. Her name is Yokoo. She is amazing. I can't wait to pick something from her shop. Here are some that I am thinking about.
