Almost Vacation!

The past week has been a mad rush for me to finish up all the things that need to be done before I leave for my vacation on Friday.  I am writing this blog post at midnight and still have a bag or so to finish afterwards!  I love being busy, so it works out well.  I have quite a few new bags that I am going to  post on Etsy ( http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7575045&ga_search_query=Satchelbag&ga_search_type=seller_usernames) in the next couple days.  Here are some pictures of them.  I will be able to ship already made items while I am gone but I will not be excepting custom orders until I am back on August 10th.

Frocks!

Hey all.  The lovely owners of Frocks have blogged about me today.  It is so nice to work with such a supportive team of women.  If you are in the Vancouver area you can come talk to me about a custom wedding bag..or dress!

Blue Leather!

A week ago I was given a custom order of 6 Mini Rectangle Bags in an assortment of different colours.  I am going to be posting them this week.  The two shown here are done in cream and dark blue leather.  I am a blue person - I love everything blue.  So, I decided a while ago that I needed to pick up some blue leather.  I think, paired with the cream, it looks very summery and nautical.  I am also going to try very hard this week to get some new bags up in my shop.  My post will be short this week because I am trying to get everything finished up before I leave for my summer vacation next week!

It's Open!!

I have officially opened up my Etsy shop!  Check it out here : http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7575045.  Karen Cavalier has also featured me on her blog and said some very lovely things about Satchel.  http://www.happycavalier.com/.  I am hoping to sew some new bags in the next couple days so I hope to post some new pics!

Punch of Colour

Here are two new bags that are going to be for sale soon.  One is a black and cream lambskin mini bag with an electric blue silk dupioni lining.  The dimensions are 4.5 inches x 8 inches.  The other bag is made of the same black lambskin with a hot pink silk dupioni.  The dimensions are 5.5 inches x 9 inches.  I really love the mix of black leather with a punch of extremely bright lining.  The leather has a nice distressed quality that I love!

A Matching Pair

These past couple weeks have been crazy.  I have been trying to juggle work, sewing, blogging, photography, graphics and visitors.  I am also a couple days away from getting my shop going! Here are some new bags that I made that will be in the shop.  They are a nice pair but will be sold separately.  They are made with chocolate and cream lambskin.  The linings are two different cotton prints.  They are measuring 4.5 inches x 8 inches.

Little Grey and Black

This little bag is made of a soft black and grey lambskin.  The lining is an electric purple in silk shantung.  The measurements are 8 inches x 4.5 inches.  This  bag would be perfect for carrying your daily makeup essentials, money and credit cards, or protecting jewelry while traveling.  It is a nice compliment to the bigger version in the opposite colours!

Black and Grey Triangle

This bag is one of my favorites at the moment.  I love the triangle shape because it really holds a large amount of things, and it is able to stand upright while you look through it.  This bag measures 3 inches wide x 8.5 inches long x 3.5 inches high.  It is made of black and grey lambskin with an apple green silk dupioni lining.

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada day!  I am lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful cities in Canada.  The past couple of days I have been trying to get as many bags done as possible.  I am VERY close to having my Etsy shop up and running.  I am just finishing up a few little details.  I will be blogging quite a bit these upcoming days to show you all the new bags I have come up with.  The  bag below is made of brown and cream lambskin and is lined with a silk dupioni in a really great rich meadow green colour.  I only had a small piece of this green silk, so this will probably be the only bag with this lining.
