Mealan

I had the most amazing week.  I was super productive, but I also had some very special visitors in town so I got to have a bunch of fun as well.  The long weekend was sunny and beautiful.

This upcoming week is going to be full of new bags and trips to the post office!  Tomorrow I am going to be sending out some bags to Mealan.   If you are in Calgary check out this store, it is awesome!

Ps. I also made a bunch of new tags this week. Gold leather won this time.

AG Photography

Darren and I chose our wedding photographer right after we got engaged. It was a very important decision for us, and I think it was probably the thing that Darren cared about the most in the planning process.

Amanda Gallant of AG Photography caught our eye pretty early on, and we snapped her up right away. We really love her work and we are so excited to have her capture our day. You can check out her blog here.

I was on her website a while back and I noticed some beautiful pictures she took. It was a series called "On the Bus". These photos made me feel very nostalgic. Growing up in Alberta and having a family who loves to ski, we often took winter drives through the prairies to the mountains. There is something so magical and dreamy about a still, snowy landscape. These pictures sum up that feeling perfectly and is one of the reasons Darren and I wanted to have a winter wedding in Banff. Another thing-I am a huge sucker for negative space.

Summer

It is officially summer!  Vancouver has pulled through today and made me believe it.  What an amazingly sunny day.  I can't wait to finally take advantage of how amazing this city is in the summer.  The beach, barbecues with friends, patios, road trips, listening to Vampire Weekend (I can listen to them all year round, but to me they will always be a summer band).  So many great things to look forward to in the next upcoming months.

One thing that I love to do in the summer is hang dry my laundry outside.  I love getting the smell of fresh air in my clothes.

More stores

My bags are going to making their way into more stores in the next upcoming months, which means that I have been sewing tons. Today I was cutting out some new bags that are going to be here specifically.

Favorite is a wonderful little shop in North Vancouver that sells exclusively Canadian designers.
