I went for an early morning walk today and there was that feeling of fall in the air. Vancouver usually stays very mild well into October, but wearing a scarf today got me very excited for fall. I think fall is the best time of year for clothes. So I came home and decided to showcase one of my favorite fall items: The Coat.
Here are a few amazing fall coats (some in my price range and some maybe not so much).

Bag for a friend
Today I worked with some beautiful, soft, red leather. I had a friend request a red coin purse last week and here it is!

Paper-Ya
My posts have been lacking because fall is right around the corner and I have been sewing like crazy. I am also going to be launching a new and improved blog, so that has been consuming a bunch of time as well.
A week ago I was at Paper-Ya. I love stationary and all things paper, so I could spend forever in this store. It is located on Granville Island in Vancouver, so if you are ever there you have to check it out. I found some sweet thank you cards (which I was in need of) and a couple cute housewarming gifts.
Also, today I am going to cut out these! They are so soft and are going to make some great fall bags.

Banff
I have been a bit behind on my blogging lately due to the fact that Darren and I took a trip to Banff/Edmonton for a week to relax and get a bunch of wedding planning done. It was the most amazing trip and so many exciting and fun things happened. I will be posting more on some of the highlights later (umm bridal shower?) but for now I just want to share some beautiful photos that Darren captured in one of our favorite places; Banff. It was a bit of a drive, but we just listened to some great driving tunes and had lots of laughs. We spent my birthday and our 7 year anniversary there for the first two days of the trip!
Drive up to the Juniper parking lot and we see a big black bear (with her 3 cubs that are not pictured)
The Juniper- future wedding destination

Relaxing after a 12 hour drive
Gus is sick of sleeping in the car...time to play
The cloudy sky
My favorite photo that Darren snapped. We are blowing this one up for our wall.

Hemingway and Pickett
If you live in, or are visiting the Silver Lake neighbourhood of Los Angeles, you must to check out Hemingway and Pickett. This store is not only beautiful inside, but they carry some of the most unique, one of a kind pieces (including my bags as of recently)!
